Dotport was established in 1998 with the explicit purpose to advise private individuals on the management of their unit trust portfolios. During 2000 Dotport was registered as an investment manager at the then Financial Services Board in order to manage unit trust portfolios of the investors. Martin Struwig (B Com Hons, CFP) and Nico Struwig jointly focussed on providing investment solutions to the specific needs of individual private investors since 1990. A clear defined and tested investment process was developed and implemented. Alta Struwig (B Com) was appointed as a director in 2021 after the retirement of Nico Struwig. Gretel Engelbrecht (B Com) was appointed as an equity analyst during 2020 to assist with the management of the Dotport BCI Equity Fund. In addition to the Equity fund Dotport also manages 3 Fund of Funds. The Dotport Cautious FoF's is managed as an underlying investment for long term income generating investments (living annuities). The Dotport Prudential Fund of Funds is a regulation 28 fund managed to be an underlying fund for retirement funds. The Dotport Flexible Fund of Funds is managed as an underlying fund for a discretionary investment seeking capital growth over time. Dotport is an authorised Financial Services Provider at the FSCA (FSP 725).
